Biturbo Maintenance

The Air-conditioning System

I receive many enquiries from owners concerning the maintenance of their Biturbos.

For this reason I intend to publish excerpts from the Official Maserati Service Manual showing owners who wish to carry out their own maintenance the advantages of a workshop manual.

Why should any Maserati Biturbo owner want to buy a workshop manual?

If you have a serious mechanical breakdown then it is always best to take your car to an Official Maserati Garage. And if you are lucky enough to live close to an acknowledged Maserati Workshop like Bill McGrath or Meridien, then you won't need to read any further.

If on the other hand like most of us, you don't, and there isn't another official workshop nearby, then you may be forced to seek the help of your local garage; assuming that you can trust them with your car. Handing the mechanic a workshop manual will not only come as a relief to him but it will ensure that he doesn't cause any unecessary damage by disassembling the part for repair incorrectly and most important of all that he assembles it correctly. Your local man might be very capable mechanic but he will not be a Maserati expert.

The one thing, that no matter how hard you try or how good you think you are, that you will never do as well as the experts is to tune your Biturbo. To get the maximum performance out of your car and at the same time the reliability you need, The Maserati experts cannot be bettered!

It is advisable that maintenance work on any car should only be carried out by or under the supervision of a suitably qualified motor mechanic.
